The Black Leather (Longer And Harder) EP is more akin to an old-school 12” single featuring the long version of “Black Leather” from my aborted first attempt at a solo album that evolved into Homme Fatal. This version is definitely long and harder. Combining the melodies reminiscent of The Sisters Of Mercy with the pounding metallic rhythms of eighties industrial-dance outfits like Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb. Also included on the EP are an instrumental version of the title track, a shorter instrumental variation titled “Firm Round Bottom” that’s – wait for it – bass heavy, and the “banned TikTok version” of “Black Leather” from 2022.
