Shake It Up Tonight was originally titled New Years Eve 2016, so named because I photographed it on December 31 2016. I later changed the name to make the piece less esoteric and more evergreen. Name aside, this piece finds me building on the concepts explored in the After Hours collection and moving them into the abstract territory I fully embraced months later with Aestheticism 1.0. The circumstances were similar to when I created the former piece: Alone on a holiday and utilizing random objects for still-life photography experiments. Do I know how to party or what?

This piece is actually three separate photographs. I only had one martini glass and two sets of beads. Ergo, I shot the glass twice with each color of beads. Followed by the shaker with both colors. Then I stitched the images together in Photoshop. And art for art’s sake was born. A representation of nothing more than the unholy clash of boredom and creativity in isolation. Which is an apt synopsis of how all my art is created.
